Black Parade In Full During 2025 Tour

Welcome back to "The Black Parade."

On Tuesday, one day after teasing a forthcoming revelation, My Chemical Romance confirmed the band will be embarking on a 2025 stadium tour to perform their beloved 2006 album, "The Black Parade," in full.

"Love Live": The Black Parade North American Tour will take up in Seattle on July 11 and stop in cities like Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Toronto and Chicago before closing in Tampa, Florida, on Sept. 13. Each event will feature a different supporting act, with a roster that includes Death Cab for Cutie, Alice Cooper, Wallows, Devo and Evanescence.

MCR appeared to drop even more hints about the impending tour in their social media post, which included a video of a so-called "great dictator" standing out on a balcony to watch his followers in a potentially bleak society.

"It has been seventeen years since The Black Parade was taken to the MOAT. In that time, a great Dictator has risen to power, bringing in 'THE CONCRETE AGE'; a beautiful moment of stability and wealth in the history of DRAAG," the caption says. "His Grand Immortal Dictator desires to honor our rich and legendary culture, exquisite meals, and musical entertainments by welcome you to these tremendous shows of power and commitment.

"And providing voice and music for the first time in six thousand two hundred and forty six days, their employment privilege ceremoniously renewed, will be His Grand Immortal Dictator's National Band… The Black Parade. Long Live Draag."

The visual's themes differ from "The Black Parade's" idea, which conveys the tale and observations of a man with cancer, named "The Patient."

Mikey Way says 2025 MCR trip 'has been a dream of mine'

The band – which separated in 2013 and comprised of founding members Gerard Way, his brother Mikey Way and guitarist Ray Toro, as well as guitarist Frank Iero – last performed during their 2022 Reunion Tour, which had faced many COVID-19-related difficulties since its 2019 announcement. They also shared their first new release since 2014, "The Foundations of Decay," in 2022.

Mikey Way and Iero rushed to their Instagram Stories to show their enthusiasm about this new chapter for MCR.

"What a long and wonderful journey this has been," Mikey Way wrote in his Story. He wrote, "Currently experiencing an absolute lack for words. So I'll start with this… THANK YOU."

"To say this has been a dream of mine is quite the understatement," he wrote in a subsequent post. "I can't believe we get to do this! Here's to summer 2025, with my brothers, with my friends and with all of you. Long live The Black Parade!"

"8 years ago I had a dream mychem played Metlife Stadium. Today we reveal the show I dreamt of … New Jersey Forever," Iero posted on his Instagram Story.

Last month, MCR returned to the stage at the When We Were Young Festival in Las Vegas to play "The Black Parade" from top to bottom. As a treat for longstanding fans and emo-kids-at-heart, the encore included “I’m Not Okay (I Promise)” and “Helena” from their sophomore album, "Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge."
